Basic White Rice
Who doesn’t like rice? The ultimate side dish that absorbs every sauce so perfectly!
This is a very easy recipe. Just follow the steps and you’ll be happy with the results.
1). Measure 2 cups basmati rice in an 8 oz measuring cup, rinse 2-3 times until the water is clear from the starches , and let dry in colander for for 2-5 minutes.
2). On a medium- low heat, warm up 2-3 Tbsp oil in a pot, add the rice and salt and stir constantly until all the rice is coated and shiny. Around 3-4 minutes.
3). Add the measured boiling water. Stir, wait for some bubbles to show and cover for 5 minutes with the pot’s exact matching lid. Then lift the lid, mix again and cook on the LOWEST AND SMALLEST flame for exactly 10 minutes.
4). After 10 minutes turn OFF the flame and leave the pot cover for another 10 minutes.
5). Open, fluff with a fork and serve.
