This pasta is ideal for kids. But not just! I can eat a whole pot of it all by myself. I can not resist the first warm bight after combining the pasta with the sauce together. This is a fun and easy recipe to whip up in no time. Perfect for lunch or dinner. Best for school lunches the next day. I grew up eating the regular and not the whole wheat kind. But don’t be afraid to introduce your family a healthier version, it tastes the same, the benefits are amazing. Great source of fiber. Make sure you have a small Israeli salad on the side. What could be better than this?
). Bring water to a boil and cook pasta according to package instructions. Make sure your water is salted.
2).While the pasta is cooking, heat up oil in a wide skillet and sauté the onions for about 7-10 minutes until golden brown.
3). Add the tomato paste and spices and mix for about a minute so the spices get a chance to open with the heat.
4). Add the water, mix very well, lower the flame to the lowest possible and cook for about 3-5 minutes. Check for salt and pepper.
5). Drain the pasta, wash it with clean cold water, and transfer immediately to the sauce in the skillet and mix until all the pasta is coated. Serve immediately!
Note: Feel free to add more water to the sauce if needed.
