Ingredients for sauce:
How many times do you find yourself craving for sweet and sour chicken and wish you knew how to make it at your very own kitchen?! Well now you can with this recipe. Invite your friends for a restaurant quality meal at your very own table and the compliments will be endless.
1). Prepare the butter by combining all the ingredients and mix with a whisk until smooth.
2). Add all the cut chicken pieces and mix with a fork.
3). Heat up a nonstick frying skillet on a medium heat and pour the 1/4 cup oil.
4). With a fork, one by one, carefully start taking out the chicken from the butter and wait 1-2 minutes to get golden on one side and then flip to the other. Once golden on both sides, transfer to a plate with paper towel to absorb any excess oil. Repeat this process until all chicken pieces are done.
5). Prepare the sauce in a wide and large skillet or pan. Start by heating up 3 Tbsp oil, then add the onions and bell peppers. Mix for 2 minutes and then add the ginger and mix for one minute.
6). In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, sweet and sour sauce and water and pour into the skillet with the sautéed onions and peppers. Being to a boil, add some black pepper and transfer all the chicken nuggets into the sauce.
7). Cook on low for 5 minutes and turn off the flame. Sprinkle sesame seeds and fresh green onions and serve immediately. It ideally goes with white or brown rice.
