1/2 cup old fashioned oats
1 cup milk or water (any milk that you like)
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2- 1 Tbsp honey/maple syrup
Dash of salt
For the topping:
2-4 sliced strawberries
1 handful blueberries
1/2 banana- sliced
Some hemp seeds to sprinkle
This breakfast is a morning power boost. It's one of the best ways to start the day balanced and with lots of energy. Oats are amazing in so many ways- They are full of fiber, protein, and the best part is they keep you satisfied for hours. You can top with any fruits you like! This version is a hit with my kids:
1). In a sauce pan place the oats, liquid of your choice, cinnamon, salt and coconut oil and bring to a boil. Lower the heat, stirring occasionally, and cook for about 5-7 minutes until you get a thick consistency and the oats are soft and silky.
2). Transfer to a bowl and drizzle honey or maple syrup. Arrange the fruits, sprinkle hemp seeds and serve immediately.
