Easiest 5 Ingredient Passover Honey-Onion Beef Roast

This simple delicious recipe is a winner every single time.  Perfect for Passover (or Rosh Hashanah) since there are almost no spices involved to interrupt the yummy beefy flavor. It takes less than 10 minutes to prepare and throw in the oven for a couple of hours. It may sound as if this is a sweet dish; however, the contrast between the onion and garlic balances it all together. If you do not use any garlic during Passover just skip it and replace it with some fresh ginger instead. Here I used Grass-Fed chuck eye roast, but you can also go with Minute roast if you’d like. Should we start?

Instructions

  1. Place onions on the bottom of a roasting pan. Top with meat.
  2. Combine garlic, salt, water, and honey. Rub it all over the meat. Let the meat stand at room temperature for 1 hour to absorb the flavors.
  3. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  4. Cover the pan very well and cook for 4 hours.
  5. Once it’s ready, take it out. Let cool completely (covered)! Place in the fridge for 1-2 hours, and slice to the desired thickness. Put back in the sauce, warm up and serve.

Enjoy!
