Cauliflower Steak


1). Cut the cauliflower in half and then take off the ends of each half. Try to keep the steak pretty thick. (Keep the remaining pieces for other use)
2). In a deep pot bring water to a boil with 1 Tbsp of salt and carefully place the steaks. Cook for exactly 2 minutes.
3). Carefully take the steaks out using a tong and place on a plate lined with paper towel to absorb the liquids.
4). Beat the egg, add salt, pepper, cumin, and garlic powder and mix.
5). Transfer the egg mixture to a zip top bag and place the cooked steaks. Slowly massage the steaks so they are all coated with the egg.
6). Using a medium-low heat, warm up wide skillet with oil, place the steaks and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side. Try not to move them too much so they don’t break.
7). Place on a plate lined with paper towel to absorb the excess oil.
