Aruk- Mashed Potato Patties

These are just potatoes, I know!  But let me tell you!  You will fall in love with them once you make these amazing patties.  They might not get to the dinner table if you start tasting them (I’m speaking from experience).  And they are also perfect for Hannukah Make sure you have fresh Israeli salad on the table!


1). Mash the potatoes with a potato masher.

2). Add the green onions and parsley, other herbs, and mix.

 3). Add the rest of the ingredients and mix by hand for best results.

 4). Wet your hands with water, form patties, and carefully place on a preheated NONSTICK skillet with a thin layer of oil.

 5). After a few minutes, when the bottom side is golden brown flip and cook for another 2-4 minutes.


Can these patties be baked as well? Yes!

Place them on oiled parchment paper and bake on a preheated 400-degree oven for 25-30 minutes. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
