For 1 individual serving:
1/2 cup 1 minute quick oats
1/2-1 tsp instant coffee (such as Taster's choice)
1 tsp cacao powder
2 tbsp maple syrup
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup water + 2 tbsp more
Splash of plant milk
The reason I love this oat recipe so much is that TIME plays a huge factor in the mornings for us. Is that something that is relevant at your house too?! And with such a quick-cooking method, you will fall in love with eating oats more than ever before. Another reason to love it so much is the fact that it has coffee and cacao inside. And what better way to open your day with chocolate and coffee flavors that are actually healthy and good for you?!
For most recipes, we usually love using old-fashioned oats. But this recipe is a true game-changer because your breakfast is literally ready in one minute! (Although I love adding 30 seconds more for a creamier texture).
And the best part my friends, THERE ARE NO DISHES TO WASH! No pots, no pans, no stove. How wonderful is that?!
Feel free to use gluten-free oats if you need to.
1). Combine all the ingredients in a microwave safe bowl, add the water and mix well until the cacao podwer is fully incorporated.
2). Place in the microwave, cover, and cook for one minute. (I sometimes add 30 seconds more for a more creamy consistancy)
3). Carfully remove the bowl and the cover, splash some milk and maple syrup on top, mix very well.
4). Top with some fresh fruits, hemp seeds, and even vegan coconut yogurt if you have.
Enjoy right away!
